| Special Announcement: International Diversity Gala |

Dear Family, Colleagues, Clients and Friends:
I am writing to you as a member of the Immigration Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) to personally invite you to a unique Diversity Gala we are hosting on October 22, 2005. We chose the theme of Diversity, as October is Diversity month in the U.S. and the event is to honor those who appreciate the differences among us all. This event will provide a tremendous opportunity to network with Federal politicians and the international community in Los Angeles, as well as enjoy a fabulous party.
Confirmed guests include dozens of Consuls General from around the globe who head posts in Los Angeles. Guests qttending who will receive awards include Congressman Howard Berman (U.S. House of Representatives Immigration Sub-Committee), Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, leaders from the Department of Homeland Security, and attorneys Stuart Folinsky and Josie Gonzalez for their outstanding work. Senators John McCain (via video) and Barbara Boxer (via representative) will also be awarded. Attending too will be attorney members of LACBA and American Immigration Lawyers Association. LACBA is the largest voluntary non-profit bar association in the nation with more than 26,000 members, 600 of whom practice in the field of immigration and nationality law. The County Bar is extensively engaged in advancing the administration of justice and meeting the professional needs of the legal community.
The gala will be from 6:00 p.m. to midnight at the Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. The evening's events will include introductions of our honored guests, award presentations, and international themed cuisine, music, and dancing. Dress is formal; optional dress will be in keeping with those attending a Halloween masquerade ball.
In addition to the registration information is information on the opportunity to place an advertisement or tribute in a book which will be distributed to all attendees.
